RXV run/tow switch question
Ok, I know how the run/tow switch works in the PDS/DCS world. How it works in the RXV world I am a bit confused. System is a different animal. I have heard multiple versions of how to safely work on the electrical side but thought I would ask the gurus.

Re: RXV run/tow switch question
I'm no guru, but here goes. The answer depends on what you plan to do. For instance, if you want to remove and replace the batteries, you simply make sure the key is off and removed from the key switch, and then remove the negative battery cable. If you are planning to work anywhere electrically near the controller, there is some stored energy that has to be drained off. Basically key off, remove negative battery cable, tow/run switch left in run, turn key switch to reverse and wait for the reverse buzzer to go silent. Its not rocket science, but following the RXV service manual step by step will keep you out of trouble.
