Default Bent Frame

Folks,

My babysitter decided to nail a tree while taking the kids on a ride. Fortunately, the damage is minimal to the outside of the cart, but I've got a pretty nice crease in the front of the frame. I'm also going to need a new tie rod. I have oversize tires and six inch lift. My question is can I buy this part separately, or should I simply try to find a body shop to bend it. I'm still fairly new at this, but I'm going to try to attach pics.

Thanks in advance guys.

I'm guessing but 2001 + cart with steering box on the front axle ? If so, that looks like a standard front axle with a spindle lift. Those are very common and usually get thrown away when a lift using a drop axle is involved. If you have a cart shop near you, check with them and dig one out of the dumpster. Just make sure to measure between the centers of the king pins to make sure it is the same width..

I'm with kgsc on this one ^^^^ and if you HAD to buy a new one, they are readily available and aren't very expensive at all. as kgsc mentioned. the picture you posted is the front axel of a 2001+ cart......and on the EZ-GO site is only $116.

I feel "un-bending" that axle is unsafe, because the metal has lost its strength at that kink point. Just get a new one.

Thanks guys. I knew I could count on this forum for answers. Sounds like the best net is simply replacing the old one. Yes it is a 2003 ezgo with standard six inch lift. Would love to know where I can get a used one for 25 bucks!
