Default txt loses power when red wire attached to solonoid

The red wire has normal voltage until attached to the post on the solenoid. Then the system goes dead. A jumper from + battery terminal to this post lets the cart function normally. The only thing that is not normal with the jumper inplace is reverse beeper only works when peddle is pressed. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the black wire between the small terminal on the solenoid and the B- terminal on the controller. (Highlighted in green on attached schematic.)

Sorry, I got sidetracked by the beeper comment. Let's get the solenoid to function when wired normally. (IE: Leave the jumper wires in the toolbox. )

You also said the red wire on the solenoid has voltage, but looses it when it is connected to solenoid coil, so there is a problem somewhere along the path highlighted in red on the schematic I posted earlier.

Jack rear tires off ground and put on jackstands so the half ton cart doesn't take off unexpectedly and run over someone or something.
Charger unplugged from cart.
Key ON.
F/R on either F or R.
Pedal pushed.

With DVM's negative test lead connected to battery pack's main negative terminal, measure the voltage on the small white wire coming out of the rear of the charge receptacle. Should be full pack voltage.

If you have it, check for full pack voltage at MS-2 (p/o F/R assemble).
Next in the series circuit that activates the solenoid is the keyswitch.
Next is the pedal switch.

Little white wire only has 25 volt. So must be our problem.

Measure the voltage between the two female radsoks in the charge receptacle. Should be the same as the battery pack voltage.

If not, there is an issue with either the black or white wires that connect to the battery pack. The heavy white wire may have a 50A or 60A fuse in it, which may be blown.

If so, take the top of the charge receptacle and bypass the reed switch. (See attached picture)

The Reed switch is bad. JohnnieB solved that problem! Thank you very much! Now is this OK to bypass as a solution or where can we get one of these to fix this?

By pass the best solution, run your charger cord through the steering wheel so you don't forget to unplug it.
