Need some help!
I have a 2011 Precedent that was converted to an IQ with a new wire harness, Curtiss 1268 500A controller and most recently a AMD 7144 motor. This setup has been running absolutely wonderful until tonite.
Was running full pedal for just a short ways, full charge on batteries, the cart all of a sudden came to a stop. was unable to get it to do anything, reverse or forward. I could hear the solenoid kicking in either direction I put the fnr switch in. So I walked back to the house and got the pick up and trailer and backed it down the road to the cart. Dropped the tailgate on the trailer and was able to drive the cart up onto the trailer. Pulled it back to the house. Got a buddy of mine to ride with me and ran it full speed again, put it thru it's paces and it ran with no problem. I felt the motor and the controller cover when it quit to see if it was hot. Everything was cool as a cucumber. I use a DPI charger. I hooked up the charger after I was done with the cart and now the DPI won't come on. The lights on the front of the charger will flash as normal when I plug in the battery end of the charger to the battery receptacle on the cart. I plug in the 120v cord to the outlet and all I get is the power light flashing on the charger and it won't turn on. Where do I begin to troubleshoot this? Coincidence the charger quit the same time I have a problem I have never had before or is this problem related? Help and thanks in advance! |

May not have anything to do with it, but did you jump the wires in the obc plug. If so maybe the jumper came loose, just a wag.

Re: Need some help!
Thanks Mr Golf! No, back when I purchased the DPI charger I went straight to the batteries by cutting the ground wire from the obc and going directly to the battery ground with the ground wire from the charger receptacle.

Re: Need some help!
Call me tomorrow and we can talk about it. I know it was working perfectly after we programmed it. I'm interested in seeing what the issue is. If you need to bring her down and have it scanned again let me know.

Re: Need some help!
Tahoe is the man! Sorry for the late response. Just haven't had time. Yeah, Tahoe guided me right to the problem. All this while he was on a family get together up in the mountains. Again, sorry about that. Didn't realize you weren't in Augusta. But the help sure paid off and made me feel soooo much better after that last little expenditure on the cart. Not to mention I ended up not being stranded way down deep in the swamp on the hunt club. Too many snakes and bugars down there that might not think anything about makin lunch outta your behind.:)
Again, Thanks Dave! |
