Duracell batteries
Are these batteries as good as some of the name brand or should I pay the extra for the better ones

Re: Duracell batteries
When I was looking earlier this year I found that Deka makes Duracell batteries and had very good reviews. Had I not went with a lithium pack, I would have bought the Duracells.

Re: Duracell batteries
I replaced my used up Trojans with Duracell from Sams, 3 years going strong, no problems would buy again!

Re: Duracell batteries
Some may disagree with this opinion, but here's how I explain it to customers. If you plan on golfing 5 days a week, or otherwise heavy usage, skip the discount batteries and stick with Trojan or US brand. If you will just use it around the property, or otherwise less intense usage, you can get away with the cheaper ones. I have seen about 10 or so sets of 10 year old batteries that would move a cart faster than walking speed, and next month I will have been at this for 10 years. Maybe it's just the heat of the desert, but 5 years is about right for 6v or 8v packs, less for 12v packs. Our clients are mostly all regular golfers, with a good mix of snowbirds.
