Default 2013 EZGO TXT clicking in rear after being towed

Hi first time here and first time owner of a golf cart. I purchased a 2013 EZGO TXT48v and my daughter ran the battery down and the golf cart was towed without the tow switch being put in tow position. It was towed approximately 1/8 mile with a top speed around 25mph. I dropped it off at the golf cart service dept near me and they said it was the motor. I paid to have the motor rebuilt and when they put it back together the clicking noise in the rear area is still there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm hard to tell. Lucky the controller is OK I'm assuming. Clicking could be something rubbing or the hub cap rim or something. If motor was not installed properly I suppose it could make a clicking noise somehow. Check for the obvious first like something rubbing. Jack the cart up and have someone push the gas while you investigate the rear of the cart.

Could be a rear hub. If it was in run it was probably trying to regen all the way home. I would definitely make the shop who sold you the motor rebuild deal make it right. If you jack up the cart and run it with the wheels off the ground does the noise go away? If so see if tightening the rear brake hubs help.

Thank you for the reply. I am getting the cart back today or tomorrow. They said the engine was shot and thats why they had to rebuild the engine. They still can't figure out whats wrong with the cart. I think I am going to take it to another place.
