Default ezgo marathon rear end bad boy buggy

I am just curious. A guy just bought a junk EZGO marathon from me that was headed to scrap. He is convinced he can take the rear end off the Marathon to replace the rear end of a BBB.

I can't believe this will work, but he insisted that it would, so I sold it to him for $100. Anybody know if there is any chance this will bolt on.

More than likely it will fit. The leaf springs may not fit but the transaxle itself should be able to be mounted to his leaf springs. Dana Spicer transaxles are commonly used amongst a large number of carts.

Bob,

Thank you. That makes me feel a lot better as the guy bought it to repair a cart used by a couple of disabled young men.

I am guessing the BBB had a Sepex motor, will it mount to the Marathon Transaxle? (marathon was series)

Probably not, but they can always put a series drive system on the BBB. It all depends upon the spline of the input shaft.
