Default Confused bad motor?

I have a 2004 36 volt (new batteries 38.70 volts)
New controller I took out of a running cart
New solenoid

I just rebuilt the cart it was running Friday when I pulled it into the shop for the weekend. This morning the solenoid would click but it would not go. After looking at everything the solenoid stopped clicking so I put on a new one. Still nothing. I have power on the + side but I am not getting a ground when the micro switch makes.

Any how tried the trouble codes and there are none. So started on the flow chart for trouble shooting. Last check was voltage on contronner F1 and F2 which was 0. Controller F1 To motor F2 was o and controller F2 to motor F1 was also 0. According to the flow chart I have a bad motor?????I just had the armature turned and put in new brushes.

Really my question is will a bad motor make the solenoid not work?

The motor will not effect the solenoid activation ... that I know of.
Stick to the low amperage side of the system and find out what is missing from the solenoid click event.
Have you got + and - at the 2 small posts when -key on/in gear/ pedal down?
I suspect not - so what is missing the + or the -?

Yellow is the + side .. It may show - before the pedal is pressed.
Take it off and test it solo in the air. It should show + when the pedal is pressed or you have an ignition /pedal box micro switch kind of problem

This is normal for a stock PDS controller.

The solenoid coil has B+ on it when no charger is connected (reed switch - or bypass), Run/Tow in Run, F/R in either F or R and keyswitch ON. The pedal switch tells the main coil driver inside the controller to connect B- to the blue wire on the other side of the solenoid coil. In other words, it is the B- connection that energizes the solenoid rather the the B+ connection like it works in series drive carts.

Here is a drawing the shows the B+ path.

The + comes through the coil from the + circuit. When the key is on and the microswitches are all set right, the coil - will have + on it until the controller connects the blue wire to -.

I will replace the switch and key switch in the mornings by. Just makes no sense the cart was running before I tore it down and ran great after put back together. And now nothing. All my normal testing is leaving me blank. Maybe a good night sleep will help.
