Default gauge wire ????

hey guys , im back again about what gauge wires to use ...lol.

well. i found out why i had the warm wires and smell... i found burn wires from controller to solenoid ...plus i found a warn/ exposed wire going to motor...
so im about to change all the big wires...

eventually i will be changing controller so what gauge wire should i use...

i keep reading some use 2g or 4g.... i dont want to get wrong one now and have to change them again once i change controller...

In this case, bigger is better. There is no down side of using 2 gauge wire.
In some cases it may be overkill, but it will never hurt.

Go with the 2 ga. now, it will handle just about any future upgrades you may plan.

Also, do EVERY power cable in your cart, it is only as good as the worst connection in the pack !!!!

Also, if there is a possibility you may go to a 6x8V 48V pack, get a cable set for 8V batteries.

The interconnecting cables within the battery pack have to be longer for 8V batteries since they have both terminals on same side. The longer 8V battery cables will work just fine with 6V batteries and won't have to be replaced when you go to 48V.
