I use either a baster or the watering can I got at dollar tree specifically for that purpose.

Buy a 2 gallon water jug with a dispenser valve at Walmart. Stick a 2 foot long section of clear plastic hose on the valve. Place the jug on the body. Free end of the hose goes in the battery, push the valve open. Squeeze the hose between your fingers to stop the flow when the cell is full.

Kinda like this one https://www.walmart.com/ip/Arrow-H2O...-Blue/15915151

Works pretty well for me. I maintain alot of batteries and go through way too much distilled water to have to refill those little bottles that only hold a quart. I fill up the big jug and usually service 2-4 carts on one fill.

I am a Chemist and have purloined one of these from my lab.

They are available fairly inexpensively on-line

I have the Flow-rite all connect watering system. It is stupid simple, you connect the hand bulb pump and drop the filter hose end into the gallon jug.. a few hand pumps and boom all of the cells are evenly filled. NO SPILLS. it takes me about 2 minutes start to finish and this includes clean up.

Great until one of the valves stick. You'll never know it until the battery that is over/under watered dies and kills the pack, or worse, starts a fire.

That's been a concern of mine too. I read one horror story on here, and that was enough for me not to do it. If I had a fleet of 70 carts I would probably do it to save time. But for me with our 1 golf cart it only takes about 15 minutes once a month.
