Does a bad solenoid slow the cart down?
I recently bought a 2000 club car ds and now it runs really slow and can barely make it up my drive way. I checked the batteries they are all fine voltage and everything. When I hit the throttle only one of the solenoids clicks I’m not sure if they are both supposed to or not. I’ve been trying to read up on multiple places and can’t seem to find out if one solenoid is bad would be my problem or if it’s something else like the controller or mcor. Lemme know any input at all. Thanks

Re: Does a bad solenoid slow the cart down?
If this is a 48v cart, it sounds like you have a '00 Regen2 cart (Fwd/Rev Rocker switch and Run/Tow switch). If that is the case, you could have a few things going on. The second solenoid in line is the dynamic brake solenoid. When that fails, most will just completely bypass them.

Yes it is a 48v regen2. Which one is the dynamic brake solenoid? the one that doesn’t click has the resistor coil wire attached to it. Could it have something to do with the OBC?

Bypass that solenoid and unhook the speed sensor. You can just connect both large cables to the same post to bypass it. The cart will come alive.
