It just quit working. The armature spins. Not real sure what it needs. I guess it could be with a try.

What kind of motor is it and what where you doing when it quit working?

Have you tried a motor test yet with a 12v battery?

It’s a club car factory motor, special service 3.75 hp. It died while driving after installing the 500 amp controller. I did check it with 12v direct. No joy, plus I have continuity across all four posts. New 7114 Beast sitting in the garage waiting for me to install it.

So how long did that GE last @ 500amps.

The AMD is not installed yet. Are you insinuating it’s NOT going to last? The club car motor didn’t go 10 miles before it died.

I'm pretty sure he was asking about your stock motor not the new one. For comparison I've been running my stock 36v Ez Go motor at 48v and 500 amps for over 7 years. I also have an AMD "Beast" in my Club Car, I think you'll like it!

I wasn’t sure. The motor was rated at 48v and I was running it on 36v. I also know the previous owner took ZERO care of this cart. I’m hoping the upgrades will be all everyone has said they will be. I’ve been refreshing this cart since April so I’d like to get it finished.
