Default Battery SOC Question

Hi there, my batteries look good according to every chart I’’ve seen showing the SOC for a 48V cart, but that’s at rest. 50.7V at rest. When going up a fairly steep hill, I’m at around 45V. Is this normal or does the chart apply to when there is load as well?

Your good...Rule of thumb is that the pack should not drop more than the voltage of one battery under load...50.7 - 8v = 42.7...Your at 45v...Keep an eye on them..

BTW the voltage meter came from Carts Unlimited, and was super easy to install (really helpful to have the bus bar too). It can be a little hard to see in direct sun but it does it’s job.

BTW...The green led meter from Scotty reads better in the sun than the other colors...At least in Florida...

Is it better to wire the SOC meter directly to the battery pack + and - or go through the key switch?

It is your preference. I like them On so I can see it at anytime. It is a very minimal draw.
