Default 04 precedent 48v wont slow down

So, new problem. 04 48v club car precedent. Drives fine, but when i let off the accelerator, it keeps going under power. Need to either switch to neutral or practically lock up the brakes to stop when going down a hill. Tried replacing the mcor, but not really noticing s difference. Any thoughts on what it might be? Cart is still relatively new to me. Gas pedal was sticky originally, and a little wd 40 loosened up the pedal itself. Used to have to physically pull the accelerator pedal back.

Is there a way to reset the memory of the pedal?

Sounds like something is physically amiss with the pedal assembly. I would douse it with some more WD-40 and rapidly pump the go pedal a bunch of times.

That is a Pedal I group assembly. Give David a call at Revolution Golf cars. Phone: 706-431-3917. https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/accelerator-parts he can tell you what you need or has the parts and expertise to tell how to fix it.

a couple of rounds of wd40 didnt make any noticable difference. Every once in awhile, it will jerk and slow down when i let off the accelerator on a flat surface. otherwise im pretty much riding the brakes, especially if its down a hill.
