LED light bar question
For those who have installed LED light bars. Are you powering the bar from a single battery or from a voltage converter?
So far I have tried 2 different converters and both have a problem with powering my LED bar... |

Re: LED light bar question
The only issue I remember folks having is some of the led light drivers causing interference with Radios.
Do You happen to have a link to the LED lights You used in case there is any special instructions? |

Re: LED light bar question
Sergio, here's the link. I am only using 2 of these. They work fine when hooked directly to a battery.

Re: LED light bar question
Should work fine on a reducer. Kinda sounds like maybe somethings getting hooked up wrong.
What kind of reducer are you using? What's your pack voltage? Where are the wires for the high voltage supply for the reducer connected? Are you using a switch of some kind for the lights? With the reducer high voltage side hooked up do you have 12v output from the reducer? |

Re: LED light bar question
My reducer is a 30 amp unit from Carts Unlimited. Key switch activated. 48v battery system. Converter wired to + battery, - wired to B- on controller.
When switched on, I get 12v on my meter on the output wires. The LED only draws 1.5 amp, flashes on-off quickly when hooked to the converter. |

Re: LED light bar question
Hmm, do the lights work okay when you connect them to a single 12v battery, like on your vehicle or lawn tractor?

Re: LED light bar question
Where is the negative wire for the lights connected?
Do you have them sired in series or parallel? |

Re: LED light bar question
The LEDs work fine directly from the battery, I have 1 right beside the converter for testing. Individual ground and positive feeds directly from converter to light

Re: LED light bar question
I have a separate 12V Marine battery that runs all lights including the light bar, and both front and rear winches. Works great.
