Default ALLTRAX: Motor and Field Current with no throttle

So, I brought my cart home from the campground today, it ran great all weekend. Our campground is really dusty, so I used the compressor to blow off the the motor and battery areas. I went to move it and it did this weird stutter thing for a few seconds, I let off the throttle and then stepped on it again and away it went. I couldn't get it to duplicate it. I checked all the battery cable connections, motor connections, etc... Decided to plug the laptop in and see if if stored any codes or errors. There weren't any. I did notice though, that with the key on with no throttle input, there was a motor current of 2.4-3.5 amps and a field current of 1-1.2 amps. Is this normal? It didn't matter what position the FNR switch was in. I'm new to this but it seems strange to me to have those currents with no throttle input.

Spoke with Ted at Alltrax tech support. Very nice guy. He said this is indeed normal. He said there are a few paths that can allow current even with an open solenoid.

Thank you for posting a followup. Very helpful information! I made a mental note. Wait, I better write that down. My mental notes get lost these day.
