Default Is your steering smooth, lock to lock?

My DS has been well used and not as well maintained. When I turn it, every 180 degrees there's a tightness to the turn that requires a bit more power, than it overcomes and jumps a tad. For most folks that's not a big deal, but with one hand and alot of sweeping turns, it's a bit sketchy. The 180* correlates with the steering column universal joint...is that normal?

I plan a full rebuild of the front end (don't plan on lifting it) and Revo is out of stock. Any other sources?

Try some penetrating oil on the u-joints on the coupler shaft. Might help loosen it up. The only way to replace those is to replace the coupler.

Don't forget the grease nipples on the front suspension (at least the Precedent has them, I'm not sure about the DS but I would expect them to be there).

Thanks for the tips. The DS has zerk fittings, and the PO said that he squirted some grease in there from time to time. They are covered in overflow grease, so a good cleaning comes first.
