Recommended Shops near San Antonio or Austin
Hey Guys,
I have been learning a lot from the forum over the past few months and appreciate all the help you have been. I live in San Antonio and have struggled to find a shop or mechanic who knows what they are doing with upgraded drivetrains. I had a navitas 600a controller installed on my dads cart at a local place and it was problematic from the start. I thought this was a simple install, but these guys had no idea what they were doing. Everything from the throttle being extremely jerky to a constant beeping when shifting between gears. Sadly the golf cart was stolen shortly after so they never had a chance to fix the issues, but it did not leave me with much confidence. Now I am looking for a shop or mechanic to perform a navitas AC conversion on my 99 CC DS and I do not know of anyone close by I can trust. Does anyone here have a recommendation? Thanks in advance for the help |

What's up, neighbor? I live in the medical center. I bought my cart through Golf Cars Etc. on 1604 but do my own service. They seem knowledgeable. I buy parts through David at Revolution (he is a site sponsor).
I have heard good things about Mission, but I don't think they get a lot of work upgrading these things. Stay away from Alamo for anything but batteries. I'd call both Mission and Golf Cars Etc. (if those weren't the ones originating the service) and speak to them about what you're looking to do. |

Hey Ryan,
Nice to see another local on here, I am downtown. Funny to hear you mention Alamo. They are the ones who installed the new controller on my dads cart and they sold it real hard, but didnt know anything about it once it was installed. They are nice guys, but after that ordeal I don't think about going back to them. Mike |

Alamo is actually good for parts and batteries - NOTHING ELSE. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them. I'm actually shocked they picked up and were open when you called. I call them first for batteries and I swear I have to chase everyone down there with 3 or 4 phone calls. |
