I have one of Scotty's meters. It's been doing great for years now.
Mine is wired up on the hot side of the key switch so it is constant on. It doesn't draw enough amperage to worry about draining batteries. Think digital clock running on AA batteries. How long does a clock run on those two small batteries? The meter is dead nuts on after all these years. I checked it yesterday against a Fluke multimeter. I have tried the meter on the switched side of the key switch and there is some resistance through the key switch that will give an low error of about .2 volt. |
