Default 2016 Precedent motor in 2003 DS IQ with Alltrax?

I have a 2003 Club Car DS IQ and am looking to upgrade the controller and motor. The motor is a GE which, David Hicks said it will be best to limit it to 300 amps with the Alltrax.

I can get a 2016 Precedent motor from a friend so am trying to figure out the options.

If I get the Precedent can I use it with the Alltrax?
Is this a straight swop with the only changes on the controller?

If so, is that a better option than the GE?

If I am going to do a future upgrade to a PlumQuick Bandit, which would be the better motor to upgrade?

Appreciate any and all input.

The precedent motor will be longer and may not clear the right side shock and upper shock mount on the right side of the frame. That can be modified, or you can install a lift kit to get room for it to clear.
Functionally the motor is the same, and will bolt onto your axle.
If you can get the axle from a precedent you can install that axle and have room for the motor with no other mods. It will all bolt in the same.

It will fit with no modifications. Instead of running the IQ-V4 map you'll need to run the EJ4-4001 map, if you get one of the motors built into a Bandit, use the one from the modern Precedent instead of the GE. It will be MUCH more durable, at that time you will need to switch to a Bandit field map. We have all of these maps on file that we can send to you at any time.
