97 EZGO clutch upgrade
I am planning on installing larger tires on my 97 gxi 804d and was wondering if anyone could tell me which clutch upgrade kit would be the best for my cart. I would appreciate any help. Thanks Jake1883

Re: 97 EZGO clutch upgrade
If that model doesn't come with a 28 dgree clutch you may want to look into that. Standard is 36, the 28 gives you a lower starting gear ratio. Our sponsor cart parts plus can machine your clutches to fit your needs. It's cheaper than new and is better than any kit.
You can convert a 36 to 28 degree using about $70.00 worth of parts. There's info on that in here also. I use a 28 rear clutch, a stock front, on a '99 worhorse and it's OK. 22x11-10 tires. They could still use some tuning...You lose a lot with big tires! |
