Newbie charging a pds

hey guys this is a great site. much info. The guy i bought my 2006 ezgo pds (mod) from said to put in tow mode before fooling with batteries. my question is do i have to remember to do that before charging as well? and one other thing it seems to have orig. trojen batts. it was made 09/06. how much longer can i expect these batts to last? its performing well now.

Golf cart batteries typically last about 5-6 years depending on care and maintenence. I have seen Trojan, US Battery and Interstate batteries last as much as 10 years though so there is no "set" lifespan.

As for charging the cart, no, you do not need to flip the car into "tow" mode to charge it.

thnx Rabb just the feedback i hoped for and needed. gonna read up on batt maintenance now so i can get best service from them.
