Re: Losing power on newly converted to 48v
anyone have a trick on how to get the voltmeter probes to stay, while driving?
Being a duct tape fan I might just use it to hold the probes. |

Get some alligator clips and wire and make your connections that way.

Re: Losing power on newly converted to 48v
Charger is in the "ready" state. pack is 48.0 volts. That one battery is 5.6 volts. The rest are 6.0-6.1 volts.
The charger is unplugged. I will see where the pack settles in 12 hours. But seems like I'm not getting a full charge. I will test that battery under load tomorrow. |

That pack voltage is pretty low for just charged batteries. Do you know anyone that has a 48 volt charger you could try?

Re: Losing power on newly converted to 48v
You are definitely not getting a fully charged pack, I can run for miles before mine "drops" to 48 volts. If these are new batteries I would take the one back that is not showing a full charge and just get them to swap it out.

Re: Losing power on newly converted to 48v
After sitting for 12 hours the pack reads 47.6v.
7 of the batteries are reading 6.0v. 1 is reading 5.2 |

Re: Losing power on newly converted to 48v
My concerns are that one battery is bad, and that the charger is not fully charging the pack.
Could a bad battery cause the charger to not fully charge? |
