Default 99 EZ GO TXT DCS That will not go

PROBLEM:
I use my cart at an RV park where I live and work part time security. I ran out of power one evening and pushed it to a shed that had electrical out let and pluged it in for 2 hrs (enough charge to get it back home).

I tried to charge it, but wouldn't last, maybe 10 min. I check the batteries. They smelled of acid and they were out of water. I washed the outside cases and terminals with a solution of baking soda and water, rinsed
them off and dried them. Then I refilled each cell with distilled water to well cover the plates, but not full up. I then used my portable car battery charger (an automatic type with trickle charge tapper off) and charged two batteries at a time. This took a full day and night.

Now my cart will not go at all. I turn on the key and hear a click sound under the right side of the seat. but it will not go forward or reverse. The buzzer sounds in reverse, but no go. HELP PLEASE.
Where do I start? Any help is appreciated. I cannot afford to take it to a repair shop until next months Soc Sec check comes in......but would like to fix it myself.

I just recently bought it .....has 2007 Trojan 6 volt batteries

Try a 6ga jumper across the 2 large post on the solenoid, if the cart moves replace the solenoid.

Thanks for the fast response.............
I will try that when I get the right size wire.....
my voltage for the pack is 37.4v each battery 6.33, 6.26, 6.26
6.16, 6.16, 6.16
I put the PowerWise charger back on the pack to try bring them up while it is not going.

Your batteries are at between 70% and 90% charged so that is not your problem. Make sure all the cables are clean and tight.

When I jump the two large terminals.....do I leave the other wires connected on those two terminals?
or do I take the other wires all off?

Alot of stuff I read on this site refers to a tow/run switch....but I can't find one, is that a problem? Thanks for your patience with me, old but faithful!

Yes, I like being the pigeon, too.

Yes, leave the other 2 connected. Basically what you are doing with the jumper is bypassing the solenoid and either confirming or deleting it as a problem.
On the DCS cart there should be a run/tow switch on the controller cover. If you have a reverse beep, it is in the run mode.

There IS NOT a switch on the controller cover!
What other type of cart could I have. I was told that by my model F399 and serial #1184430 that it was a 99 TXT DCS, but I am going by what I was told.

If there is no run/tow switch it may be a series cart.
Where is the F-N-R switch?
If it is down by your knee it is a series cart.
If it is a rocker switch on the dash, depending on the year, it is a DCS (1995-2000) or PDS 2001-current) cart.

It is a lever by the right knee when seated.

right is reverse with a buzzer sound and left is forward.

I just looked at your header and it says 1999 so it still could be either.
Under the seat is there an 18" solid 1/4" rod that runs from the F-N-R switch across to the passenger side?

Take a look at this, is it the one on the left or right?
