Stock vs. Logisystems controller wiring?
I am trying to get my cart going again with a different (bought used) 48 volt controller and new solenoid with no results yet. If the Logisystems controller has the same leads such as B+ B-, M-, etc. wouldn't the connections remain the same as the stock controller? The reason I ask is because the diagram I am using is showing A1 and A2 reversed and S1 and S2 reversed as well. I have tried both ways an still no joy but just wanted to know. I am starting to think the controller is bad.

Re: Stock vs. Logisystems controller wiring?
The wiring should be the same. Some times the s-1, s-2 and a-1, a-2's get swaped but it just a matter of swaping them back to get it to run in the proper direction.

Re: Stock vs. Logisystems controller wiring?
Well I think I found the problem. The controller is bad. I wired only 4 of my 8 volts and swapped back in the old 36 volt controller and everything works fine. I guess buying used to save a few bucks really cost me this time.

Re: Stock vs. Logisystems controller wiring?
HOLY SH$&. That is WAY different that what I been previously shown on the little wires. The way your diagram shows the order as red, orange, black, white, instead of red, black, white, orange. So at a minimum it seems that LGS changes the wiring order AND uses unlabeled connections. They must want you to do it wrong. Do you know the values to check LGS controller connections for impedance so I can see if something is not right? If you get a chance could PLEASE you tell me what the impedance/resistance is between say the two throttle ones, and the red to outer case, orange to outer case with plugs disconnected? I wish LGS would pick up the phone. I am an experienced electronic technician but need some sort of internal schematic or test proceedures to go on. I just tried it your way and still no joy, now I am really lost.

Re: Stock vs. Logisystems controller wiring?
Then again there is this diagram which I received last year so it looks like they changed at some point?
Also your control was specially made for BU, as marked, so it is quite possibly NOT a standard wired unit??? |

Re: Stock vs. Logisystems controller wiring?
Well I have tried it both ways. The RWBO way didn't work so I tried the ROWB way as well. I figured if it was dangerous to hook it up the wrong way that ship had sailed since it was not working the first way. If the second way was right it might have worked. It didn't. LGS won't answer the phone so I am running out of options. Does anyone have the internal schematic of one of these? Also how are they serviced? Can you use a heat gun to melt the epoxy and take a look? If I could take a look I could put my electronic tech school education to work. This "deal" is starting to look like a loss, $180 for bad controller, then more $$$ for one that works makes me waaaay over budget. Looks like I may limp around with 4 or 5 of my 8 volts on the stock controller for a while if I cannot get this one working.
