1979 yamaha g1 runs then quits
hello i have a 1979 yamaha g1 and it runs fine for 10-15 mins then it quits...it seems like after it warms up it quits.. then it cools down and fires right back up...when it quits it still turns over but just wont go.... not sure if its the ignition coil with the orange wire its original....spark plug is brand new and looks great.....also im looking for a stock oil tank if anyone has a idea where to get one let me no any help would be greatly appreciated....

I am no expert on these things ,but perhaps the coil is getting hot and breaking down.Maybe a bad plug wire?

thanks jackel i think thats where im gonna start by changing the ignition coil...this is what i been hearing...also i think i have bad crankshaft seals...i have no vacume i think!

Mine just did this same thing. It's an 81, and it was the coil. Bought one off ebay for 30 bucks.
