Saw way cool cart today and heard a good question
The 28th Thresher show was held I RoseBud Mo. this past weekend. A tone of Antique tractors, combines and other very old steam engines-
This one Older Man from Kentucky had a VERY COOL cart- Ezgo 72 volt cart ( his sticker said 72 volt didn't see the batteries) he was running it on the street next to the park where the show was being held- it was a closed off street- unbelievably quick- he had the Cadilac white pearl paint an powder blue seats- the wheels looked like mini cragars from the 60's now here is the question: two guys at breakfast were talking about how cool the cart was.however he asked- why did he use nuts on the cables, instead of wing nuts or battery clamps- wouldn't the battery clamps have greater contact area? all of the cool carts I have seen on these pages use nuts- I have seen this point discussed on here before which has the best contact for greater energy transfer- cables, wing nuts, nuts? |

Re: Saw way cool cart today and heard a good question
Big Thick 6/16th nuts are the best. The wing nuts and the 1/2 nuts do not have the same contact area..... and most importantly the wing nuts tend to get hand tight while the hex nuts get darn tight
