Default Removing Engine from G8???

My engine is blowing oil from the drive side engine side cover. How does the engine come out ? thru the top hole in the body or do I need to remove body ?

Talking Re: Removing Engine from G8???

The back body is easy to remove -- a couple screws (or small bolts) near the front of the back cover (by the seats) and a couple under the mat just in front of the bumper and it should come right off. Then it's easy to see what needs to be done and easy to reach everything.

But watch what these guys tell you. Everybody supports pulling the engine out, but these G8 guys are probably going to tell you to put it back in at some point!

Thank you, taking the rear body off is absolutely the ticket. That's the only way to do it.

Thats a definite! Alot easier to do that work on the bench, especially since it's relatively easy to pull out
