G22 fixed sheave shattered?
I took my cart out and only went up the street about 2 houses before my fixed sheave just shattered? What would cause this? Has this happened to anyone else? It looks to be cast aluminum. Does anyone have any suggestions on a better replacement? Should I replace the entire secondary (fixed, sliding sheaves, springs etc) or would I be ok just replacing the sliding sheave.
Thanks guys, Allan |

Re: G22 fixed sheave shattered?
Ice, you obviously have ta do something. I would read the "sticky" above on torque springs. Then I would read this site on the subject. Some are using the cut sheave for a lower first gear (towing or heavy loads). I just used the stock sheave, and it doing everything I want it to do.
Check the primary as well, for wear. Talk to venders here, they know what's going on! |
