g9 motor noise
So , I just put new piston and rings in my g9, because it smoked like i was fogging for bugs, No smoke now, But it sounds like it has a knock, I dont recall if it had it before, only ran short time when i got it, and tore it down. So I have done my homework here. I see the post on balancer being out of time, but I didnt remove it . Unless someone in the prior 20 years before me did. So long story short I think I'm just going to remove it all together. Seems that this is a common problem , being their is no bearings for this part. Just aluminum machined case. Does anyone else have any other thoughts?

Re: g9 motor noise
I started hearing a slight knocking noise on my G9 just under acceleration. I'm thinking it might possibly be the clutch, but haven't confirmed it yet. Its a fairly fresh motor, so don't think its anything internal.

Re: g9 motor noise
I did have a broken weight in my clutch, so i took one off of the g2 i have, so i ruled that out. I did however watch some videos on youtube, and they sounded just like mine. I put all back together for the fifth time, and said piss on it. It runs fine. and no smoke anymore
