Regen cart no go. Controller?
Guys,
My old Club Car 2000 Model Regen II cart quit on me. I did a motor test and found motor bad. Replaced motor still no go. My muilti step pot is good to the controller. I have the voltage coming up from the pot limit switch to controller. All connections checked and pack voltage is 51 volts. Checked solonoids working and even jumped them still no go. Checked and re-tightened all connections. I am getting a reading of 50+ volts at A1 to A2 no pedal press. No change in voltage when pedal is press. I am not sure what those readings should be? Is it safe to assume (I hate that word) that it is probably the old GE controller at this point? Have I missed any checks that anyone can think of? |

Re: Regen cart no go. Controller?
A lot of times when the motor goes, it takes the controller out with. The controller has no reverse polarity protection.

Re: Regen cart no go. Controller?
Well if you've eliminated the potentiometer that's good. Motor is new so it should be good. Sounds like you've probably got a controller or OBC issue. The OBC provides power to the control circuit of the controller. The controller won't boot up if the OBC isn't working properly. Does the reverse buzzer work? If so you can rule out the OBC and point your finger directly towards the controller.

Re: Regen cart no go. Controller?
The reverse buzzer does work however, when I did the OBC reset procedure the buzzer did not sound and I could see no reaction or results from the reset.
Let me know if this has any bearing on the controller being bad. If I do change the controller what would your advice be on going with another OEM model or Alltrax. Thanks a million for the advice Guys. Your help is greatly appreciated. |
