Default 2005 CC Precedent gas

Good day, I have a 2005 Club Car Precedent that I want to change the ignition system to start the engine to let it run/warm up,before I use it. I have converted my cart for hunting and I need to let this motor warm up here in Michigan in the fall before we go out into the bush. I have seen this conversion done online but need help doing so maybe with pictures or a colored diagram of where to cut/soldier wires. I have heard you can still use the gas pedal to start the cart and have the key switch turn the engine off. If there are any members that can help me Please let me know. Thanks for your time in advance, 12gage

There is a kit sold on line that includes a small relay and a wire harness that taps in by the main solenoid. In addition, you will jumper two wires behind the forward reverse switch so that the cart starts in neutral as well as in gear. That is all explained in the kit. Then you will turn up the idle until the battery is charging and not just the motor turning over, essentially draining the battery.

More gas guys would have seen this if you posted it under"gas club car".

Thank you very much for your time, any ideas where i can purchase this kit? Yes,I did post it in the wrong spot the first time than went and re-posted it in the gas cart forum. I tried to delete the electric posting but could not find or see where to do this.

Go to your favorite on line auction site and search for CLUB CAR TUNING KIT.
If you can't find it or have any questions, let me know.
I am installing one on a 2006 DS today.

There ya go! Can't beat free!
The battery should be at about 13 volts at idle.
Read about the higher RPM spring if you have trouble with your cart creeping.

Need some help guys I have looked under the seat or my cart and could not find any type of Black box that I could remove the cover and unplug the black wire from the micro switch. I did find a black box 2''x 1.5" with 2 black wires and one tan wire mounted under the cart in front of the engine and protected by the skid plate. I removed this and inspected it but its has some type of sealed with a clear epoxy that has no access. Can someone send me a picture or a better idea where this box is at? Thanks for your time in advance

Follow the throttle cable away from the carb. The black box is where the throttle pedal pulls the throttle cable. It's under the seat towards the front on the driver side. In that corner area just to the inside of the frame. I can take a pic tomorrow if you can't find it.

Unhappy Re: 2005 CC Precedent gas

Thank you I finally found the micro switches I was looking for this black box and My cart does not have one. the switches were right under cross member center seat support.
So now I have a different problem I have 2 micro switches # 1 has a 3 wires a black one green one and a white one removed the black from this switch and no start no nothing.
the #2 has 3 wire also black which is connected to orange wire, the second wire is Blue connected to red/ white tracer and the 3rd wire is red connected to nothing with a plastic cap on it. I disconnected the black wire and the cart will still start as normal but will not keep running. When i let off the gas the starter selnoid clicks and motor stops as normal. I have no idea whats going on for a simple disconnect of a black wire it really turned into a project. Any ideas would help me, maybe it wired wrong as a normal cart? I will wait and see if anyone has an idea and want to me to try something Im stumped . Everyone out there I hope you have a Outstanding Day!
