86 club car won't go in forward only reverse

Hi i'm new to forum and need some help.

My 86 cc with resistor coils won't do anything in forward.
I can hear the micro switches but the solenoids are not energizing.

When in reverse I can hear the solenoids energize and it will move.

What should I start checking for first?

OK worked on and off all day on my cart and found the f/r micro switch was bad. Had an old switch that was good so I replaced it and it went out when
I put it in forward. I checked the continuity of the f/r switch and it was good.
I think I have short somewhere so I looked at the small blue wire from the f/r micro switch to the key switch and didn't see any place where it was grounded.
Need to check the small yellow wire that goes to the solenoid next. It got dark on me so i didn't get a chance yet.

With the f/r micro switch not working the reverse still worked, Is this right or ok?

Any help would be appreciated.

Early CC use the same F&R ms for forward and reverse. Must be something wrong with the reverse trigger mechanism? Try a new ms switch, yours is probably 30+ years old.

Scotty I put a new ms in and it blew when I put it on forward .
Reverse still works even with the ms removed.
Any ideas.

Theres one other think that I noticed with the f/r switch, when I move it toward reverse a very small amount it will operate when the pedal is pushed. Before you had to move the switch alot before you could go in reverse. Is it possible for for the f/r switch to somehow create a short inside?

As I stated earlier I think my f/r switch may be bad and would like to try the one a buddy gave me to determine if its truly bad before I get a replacement for it.

Does anyone know if I can use this f/r switch on my cart? (see attached photo)
If so can you tell me which wires go to what terminals.

Hate to just start buying parts without knowing if they are bad, really need some help. Thanks

O.K. I found the problem it was a short between the large post and small post on the far right solenoid.
