Re: Admiral replacement motor wiring question
Dang! Tested prior to putting the tires back on, and everything was working properly, i.e. fwd/rev. After getting the tires back on and back on the ground, I have no reverse. Either selection in the f/r switch = forward. What now?

Re: Admiral replacement motor wiring question
Ha! Cancel. I'm getting ahead of myself. Hadn't reconnected the middle wire on the fw switch. Sorry.
Going riding! Check in later |

And upgraded brakes.
How tall are the tires you're running? If they are stock height (18"), you're spinning the motor at 7,700RPM and I exploded the armature in my stock PDS motor at that RPM. |

Re: Admiral replacement motor wiring question
Have 20 or 22'' tires, can't remember.
My key switch doesn't seem to do anything now. I have to use the run/tow switch to turn it on and off. Weird, but not as troubling as the fried solenoid that I cooked yesterday... ****, these things are fragile! Is there a way to bench test it to see if it is actually done? There is a 2 volt drop from the down side to the upper side. 38 on the bottom connection (which was slightly loose) and 36 on the top. |
