Electricity in electric ez go.
Hi i have a electric rxv 48 volts, i hear a lot of people tell those cart are very sensible about electricity. I want to install a light kit, a horn, and a radio. But now i don't know what to do. Should i plug all on one battery, install a voltage reducer to keep the same charge level in all my batteries or just put an aux 12 volt batteries with a solar charger. Thanks

Re: Electricity in electric ez go.
Tapping the battery pack for 12V accessories is not a good idea for any cart.
At best, the stock RXV battery pack is only about 150AH, so using a voltage reducer might cut into your run-time significantly if your 12V accessories draw several amps. An auxiliary battery for accessories would be best, but there might not be enough sunshine up there to keep it charged with a solar charger. |

Auxiliary battery is the best way to go , just charge it with a separate 12 volt Charger -esp if you were going to put a winch on cart in future , remember get a deep cycle marine style battery for accessories Cheers! |

Ditto on the battery. I first went the converter route, then switched. I plug it into a spare battery tender when I put the cart on charge,

I suspect by AC Converter you are referring to the régulateur de vitesse or Speed Controller. I might be wrong, my French is Ce n'est pas terrible, since I haven't used it in years. (I had to look up the phrases. ) |
