Angry golf cart stops out of no where.

My golf cart is a 2005 48 volt 6 seater. Every time I try and drive it, it goes normal speed for about a mile and then it slams on the brakes as we peel ourselves off the windshield, you can reapply the gas pedal and goes about 20 more feet and then the same over and over for a smaller distance each time until it goes about walking speed. Even ifit recharges thesame thing happens over and over again. Can someone help me try and find out what is wrong with it ?

That sounds like the solenoid is dropping out. Just guessing on my part. Someone will post that knows more than me about this problem.

What drive system does it have? Series or Sepex? Could be a speed sensor going bad.

Unless the serial number denotes that it is not a 2005, I'm pretty sure SepEx is the only drive system for an 05 Club Car. The serial number would help

According to the serial number, you have a Club Car Villager 6 with the IQ system. Have you tried the speed sensor test in the Stickies?
