g1 crank seal question
been reading a lot on here about crank seals going... would spraying starting fluid by the clutch and fan while engine is running and listen for different engine pitch/rev work to determine if seals are bad or are they berried to far for starting fluid to get down in there? would like to get through summer before tearing it down don't have enough time right now to work on it to do seals just as preventative maintenance

Re: g1 crank seal question
I put the piston at TDC and blow smoke into pulse line, watch for smoke at seal areas.

Re: g1 crank seal question
I prefer Camel smokes. Piston @ TDC should block ports well enough.
