Making a three seater into a two seater
Ive got an opportunity to pick up a 2002 gas 3 seater Yamaha cart real cheap
(500.00). Im looking at shortening the wheel base to a 2 seater dimension. Ive seen this done just the opposite by stretching a single into a two seater. Just wondered what Im going to run into before I start a project. |

Re: Making a three seater into a two seater
Huh? Why would you want to shorten a cart?

A three seat cart is LONG! A limo if you will. A two seater with a rear back seat is plenty for me and the fact a new trailer is not needed.

Re: Making a three seater into a two seater
I suppose it could be done but that cart is worth alot more as a limo than as a 2 seater. If I bought I'd just flip it for a couple grand and then go buy a 2 seater.

Re: Making a three seater into a two seater
If anyone has tried to turn a 6 passanger (all facing forward), you'd understand why tuf-duc is asking, it's not fun! Yes, you could "de-stretch" it to a 4 passanger. It all depends on who stretched it and how they made the brake/accelerator/shift and choke cables work.

Hey tuf-duc, if you've given any thought into flipping it and getting something that's more suited to your needs, give me a shout. I'm not too far from you and would be interested.

Tuf, I'm in total agreement with you!! But I'd fix it up and sell it!! Worth a lot more in the configuration its in now, (tho I don't know why)!! Then go get a regular cart!!

Re: Making a three seater into a two seater
I've got a tricked out cart now. I just have an opportunity to pick this up pretty cheap to flip. Didnt realise the popularity of a 6 seater. it needs some work with it sitting for the last few years. Actually an 8 seater with the far rear seat facing the other direction.

Re: Making a three seater into a two seater
Just an FYI......On Craigslist out here, I found an 8- seater that needs some work and the guy wants $6000. Flip it, and find what you want.
