Cart cutting off after a few minutes.
Hi all. I am new here and new to carts. I recently bought a 96 DS cart that runs great. For about 2 trips to the end of the road. Maybe 1/2 mile total and then the cart just stops. It won't run or crank or anything. I don't believe it to be a gas issue because I can let it sit for a few hours and it will start right up and go again. My neighbor seems to think its an electrical issue of some sort. Can any of you help me? Thanks again.

Re: Cart cutting off after a few minutes.
Next time it quits, put a metal screwdriver across the two large posts on the solenoid and see if it starts up. If it does, the problem is somewhere in your key circuit.

Re: Cart cutting off after a few minutes.
it may be a bad coil, sometimes they fail when hot and work again when they cool off. It's cheap, so replace it and see what happens.
