06 Club Car Turf 1 Carryall Starter/generator not putting out
Alright guys, so here at my job the last guy that worked here swapped the FE350 in our 06 Club Car Turf 1 Carryall for some cheapo harbor freight engine. Needless to say, that engine is now toasted and i have rebuilt the original FE350 that the cart came with. He had to put in all new wiring for the new engine. So after tracing wiring for the new engine i determined what goes where and had to do some new wiring of my own. Anyway after all is said and done i have the fe350 in and up and running. I do have it set to a keyswitch now though rather than a pedal switch to start it. All seems well with everything except the charging system now. The starter/generator is only putting out .3v at full throttle at the output terminal. Ive tried grounding the field terminal and everything but to no avail, nothing changes. It has a new voltage reg as I had to order a new one since the HF engine didnt have one and the old parts that came off when the last dude swapped engines are nowhere to be found, so the voltage reg cant be the issue. I pulled the dust covers off and checked the brushes, theyre looking alright, cleaned and blown out. The SG also gets pretty **** hot, not sure if its from the test i just did with grounding the field terminal but definitely seems to be way too hot. So what gives? Anybody have any ideas here? Im kind of at a loss other than the SG is shot. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Re: 06 Club Car Turf 1 Carryall Starter/generator not putting out
I am told that by removing that small white wire then grounding that terminal and starting the cart this should shoot the voltage up at the battery to like 15volts, do not run it like this as this method bypass the regulator. If this doesn't happen the problem is with the starter/gen if it doesn't the problems with the regulator and that's the extent of my knowledge lol

Yeah, thats what i tried. When i say field terminal i am speaking of the terminal that has the small white(or yellow depending on vehicle) wire coming off of it. I tested the voltage after grounding both at the battery and at the terminal itself and got barely anything. no change at battery and just over 1v at the terminal. I suppose its time for a new SG then
