Anyone make High-Quality LED Headlights?
I bought a LED light kit off ebay couple years ago, after a couple racing seasons the headlights have been getting dimmer and dimmer, finally about half of the LED's are out on one light. I assume they were overdriving the LED's, not good enough heat sink, something like that. These lights were great when new and quite bright, just been going downhill.
This is the style I have, I don't recall the brand mine were but they look like these - http://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-Club-Car...-/191905261903 Anyone have a recommendation for a set of LED headlights that will last for Club Car DS - would be nice if they would fit in the same cutouts? (gas cart / 12 volts) |

I buy the halogen ones and then get Cree 889 LED bulbs to put in them.
In the end I spend about the same as if I purchased the LED headlight kits, but I have more reliable lights with bulbs that can be replaced. |

That's a good idea - how's the brightness on that setup?

The LEDs are definitely brighter than the halogens. I will try to take a picture in the next night or two of a comparison.

Cool - I took your suggestion and ordered a halogen light kit. Couldn't find just the headlights, but got a good price off Amazon for a set.

Re: Anyone make High-Quality LED Headlights?
I have been buying the RecPro kits. Tail lights and amber turn signals are LED with only the headlights being halogen. Just twist out the halogens and twist in the LEDs. I also get the adjustable headlights.
When it is all said and done it is under $85. |

Not to resurrect a dead thread but if you are still satisfied with your led 889 bulbs can you post a link where I could find some?
