Default G1 and ham radio

Any hams out there? I have been running my one G1 a whole lot especially this week a little over 60 miles I put on it. I measured this with my gps, I am thinking about putting a 2 meter rig on board just in case I am a good distance from my house and it decides to break down. I wouldn't worry too much if I had good legs but if I broke down there Id be. Anyone ever put a ham rig on a cart on here?

HI Spriddle I could not turn down the offer, Walmart sent me a ad email and it had a Tracphone in it with double minutes. It said for the life of the phone what ever minutes I bought it doubled them for $14.99 sure beats well over 200 dollars for a ham rig.

Hi Dock98, yea I think the cell phone is a better choice also because I sure would be stuck if I broke down and with the condition my legs are in the cell phone makes better sense.

Definitely. I try to never hit the trails without a phone, some sort of list of nearby numbers, and hear recently, a GPS.

I'm having a great day. It's Monday and beautiful out today. I do wish I was home with the wife and kids though. This weekend spoiled me something bad.
