Thats why I hate hinged windsheilds in "bumpy/rough" area's, there just to flimsy. Your idea about a brace would help, but make shure if you want to attatch the windsheild to the crossbar the plexaglass can crack when you drill thru it. We "dull" a drill bit on the concrete floor before drilling. It will "burn/melt" thru the plexaglass rather than "cut" it witch could "catch" and crack the windseild. Would like to see a pic of your fabricated cross brace, I'm shure others would to. Good luck Dave

Just get some small self tapping screws with 8mm heads and drill through the rubber circlular stoppers on the windshield that keep it from rubbing on the supports. I did this on my G16 without any problem and it cut down on the bumping alot.
