94 Gas Yamaha-Your opinion would be much appreciated
I am an EZGo guy, however, I have the chance to buy a 1994 gas Yamaha. I know it runs well, needs a battery, a battery tray, and a major cleaning. I also know cart value is very dependent on location, but...what would you pay?

94 was a good year for Yamahas. If the motor runs good and all it needs is a battery and tray, and a good cleaning depending on the body and rust it would go for $1000 here. I would take a battery with you to make sure it runs though

Re: 94 Gas Yamaha-Your opinion would be much appreciated
There was an ad here for a G1 for 1K and it was gone shortly, and those are old 2 stroke carts. Its that way in MI, I think every retiree must have one here. You can get a very young cart for about 2500-3K though. Personally I pay a lot less for things not running, maybe not way less if I know for sure it will run (like you jump start it and its fine). But if it needs mechanical work I low ball, and I do it myself its just not worth it. No sense in fixing it for free I'll buy one running. Learned that from fixing cars. Usually broke stuff has not been cared for unless you get lucky.

i paid $1000 for a running 1994 yamaha G9. It needed a little cleaning but it turned out to be a great running little cart. it all depends on the area.

Good luck and like I said bring a battery or tools to use the battery from your truck to make sure it runs.
