Intake manifold mod
Here's my version similar to some others. The barb fitting needed to be 5/16" to fit the hose on my 2006 DS.

Re: Intake manifold mod
Be aware that over time fuel will melt the PVC elbow and hose! It won't happen overnight, but just keep an eye on it. Looks like a good setup, though!

Re: Intake manifold mod
As long as the engine is running in tip top condition, no, probably not!
There maybe some fuel atomization that might get to the upper part of the intake 90, But, I'm not gonna worry to much about it! 033.JPG |

Re: Intake manifold mod
Well, "Lockman's" setup seems to work fine! In answer to your question, yes, fuel does get up into the intake. Every time you shut off your engine fuel vapors will get into the intake and condense when the engine cools off. They will usually evaporate in a few hours, though. Two strokers also spit a little fuel into the intake. In this case it's just normal operation.

Re: Intake manifold mod
That seems to be a perfectly good, common sense reason SM! I never really looked at it like that!
