G19 homemade lift kit
Hi, I have a 1999 yamaha G19 electric golf cart.
I want put a lift kit on it. Has any one ever attempted to make a G19 lift kit? Looking for around 5-6 inch. Trying to do it on a budget. Does anyone have any idea? |

Re: G19 homemade lift kit
Jakes 6 inch a arm lift. Cheap enough and takes 2-3 hrs to install. Unless you like or have the time to do your own but they are priced competitively. Check out the sponsers on the site.

Re: G19 homemade lift kit
There are "economy" lift kits out there for less than $200. They are this cheap because they are just spacers that reuse all the stock suspension peices. I used one of these myself for over a year, it was alright. I still had some "rubbing" issues running 22" tires. This kit is a bolt-in, it shifted around and needed re-tightened occasionally. It would be better if the front spacer-plates were welded so they couldn't shift, but then id would be difficult to remove. My picture to the right shows how close the wheels were to the front of the frame. I am now running the jakes a-arm setup as refered to above.

Re: G19 homemade lift kit
Thanks everyone for the feed back. Question?? If I put on larger shocks could it possibly lift it some? Some off of a 4 wheeler.

Re: G19 homemade lift kit
the shocks will lift the rear end, and the front, but your front wheels will be cambered inwards, you still will need an actual "lift" on the front.
I started my lift with an ebay lift kit, but i ended up only using just the front 4" lift plate. the rest of the lift is from the atv shocks. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/membe...yamaha-g2.html |

Re: G19 homemade lift kit
Thanks. I have a few questions.
With just the 4inch lift plate in the front was that a-a risers? If it was, Is impossible to make the a-arm risers? If so does anyone have any Measurements on it? What kind of atv shocks did u put on it? What tire size are you able to run? Did u run into any problems doing that? Thanks |
