Default G22 F&R Switch have to hunt for F or R

I've got a 2003 G22 which was modified before I got it.
It runs great. Only issue is that it's hard to find F or R with the switch. You have to wiggle it around to find the gear . Is it reasonable to repair an F&R switch ? If not where might I find a replacement?

Thanks

Is it a rocker switch on the dash or a lever near the seat?

It's a lever under the seat.

There is no heavy-duty F&R Rotary switch for the Yamaha golf carts. The enclosed design does not lend itself to modification.

I suggest you use a heavy-duty reversing contactor conversion kit. This will provide positive heavy-duty directional switching and provide you with a rocker switch shifter.

Also, the last electric yamaha with a lever under the seat (also last "series" yamaha, and last 36v) was the G16E. All G19E (first 48v, first available around 1997), and newer G22E were "sepex" carts with a rocker switch on the dash. Some of the info you have given is conflicting with yamaha year/model info. Might want to lookup your serial number on yamaha golf cart website, or here, to see whats up with your cart's true identity.
