Default Cart not starting after engine warms up

New to bgw, great site. I have a 2000 gas club car ds that i recently purchased and was riding it on the beach for a while and when i stopped for a few minutes it would not restart and run. Loaded it back on the trailer, got it home and it fired right up. This is the second time i have had this same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The motor is a fe290. It also has a machined clutch and after market spring and carb is jetted.

You need to check for spark the next time it happens. Sounds like one of the ignition parts is getting hot. Some times they will be fine when running but shut if off and wont restart until cool. If it doesn't have spark undo or cut the brown wire that goes to the rpm limiter. Still no spark unplug the black wire going to the rpm limiter. Still no spark buy a new coil and ignitor.

Mine does the same thing, but spark checks out fine.

It turned out to be a bad solenoid, replaced and haven't had a problem since.
