2008 Tomberlin acceleration pedal problem
I have a 2008 E2 and cannot get it to go fwd or reverse when stepping on the acceleration pedal. The cart takes a full charge and everything else functions as it should including engaging and disengaging the parking brake. The reverse beeping noise comes on when I put the switch in the reverse position. Anyone have had this problem or and suggestions for trouble shooting?

Re: 2008 Tomberlin acceleration pedal problem
My dealer changed the throttle pot under the floor. If possible, hook up to the controller and if that is the problem the controller should have a fault and description of problem. Mine was intermentent although it seemed to get worst up until we changed it. My cart is a 2010 e-merge SS.

Most likely it is the parking brake. They have had a slew of them that have had the switch go bad in the brake. Try putting handle down and jiggle the boot/handle assembly left-right and fore-aft.

Messed around with the parking brake as suggested, but still no luck.

JayLow most likely has your answer. It seems to be a common issue.

Re: 2008 Tomberlin acceleration pedal problem
Got a dealer to take a look at it under warranty and found the accelerator was constantly sending a 100% signal to the controller. Had to replace the entire pedal assembly with runs about $245 plus another $100 for labor. All was covered warranty and surprisingly the parts only took a few days to arrive.

same thing happened to mine. if you lift the boot off over the parking brake the little white box along with the piece on top is what goes bad.
