Seems a little different
When I installed my stereo, I tapped into the main (blue) wire coming off of the switch for the power on the stereo. Now it seems that the cart is a little slower. Does this make sense? Do I need to just run a new power wire from the batteries to the stereo?
I figured the controller should be able to handle the extra power drawn from the stereo. After all, it isn't but what...3amps? |

You should always run straight to the battery. What would happen if the stereo shorted out....perhaps got water into the radio and something happened? Possible controller damage, etc. You never know.

Re: Seems a little different
Never thought about it like that!! Thanks!! But, would the stereo cause the cart to run slower the way it is wired now? Just curious. I am going to rewire it though, cause what you said does make sense!!
